Perhaps it bridges Endeavour and Morse, though - after all, young Morse isn't above a little combat. It did make mistakes, but the essentials are still there - romantic loner Morse, Morse-and-Lewis, Morse the anti-authority maverick, Morse the classicist....All that is there. Morse and Lewis clicked as a pair, even in that episode. So did Cumberbatch and Freeman. The real question here is whether Walliams and Raine have chemistry but they're holding it at arm's length - trying to portray an unhappy marriage - or if there really is nothing. I'm not sure which it is, yet.

But I've been surprised before - Father Brown has become unexpectedly good - in its *third season.* The question now is just whether Tommy and Tuppence can either get really good in time to be renewed.Hannah Longhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15529410255089707007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-918467087072199038.post-46436260865800963552015-07-28T22:25:54.975-04:002015-07-28T22:25:54.975-04:00Several years ago, I went back through all the epi...Several years ago, I went back through all the episodes of Morse, starting with the first, and that didn't exactly hit the ground running. It took time for for everything to gel properly. My word! They even tried to show Morse in a few action sequences, like those scenes were he donned an all-black cat burglar outfit and they pretended to have him scale a tall fence and make his way up to a top-floor flat. It was less than convincing. So I'm perfectly prepared to give Partners in Crime a chance. I want it to work. I have every confidence that once Tommy DOES read his book on apiary husbandry, everything will fall into place.Darrellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11277966379512526469noreply@blogger.com
